My beloved family ones, knitted for us by my Auntie when I was 3 have finally bit the dust. Must be reasonably big and not tacky.

Not sure if these will be big enough?

JackieNo · 19/11/2006 20:38

Very tasteful , but again looks rather small. These are rather nice, but not sure how stretchy they'd be. Why not commission one of the Arts and Crafts lot on here to do some?

John Lewis has some fab ones for a tenner.

And a whole site here .

Knitted ones stretch.

Last year, I got some beautiful sewn ones, let's see if I can find them again ... OMG they are gorgeous ...

NotQuiteCockney · 19/11/2006 20:47

Damn, can't find them right now. They were from the US, they are absolutely gorgeous, they're monster feet, with webbed toes on one, long claws on another, all in interesting fabrics, lots of fun fur, swirly velvets, lovely lining ... absolutely incredible.

Ooh, this is exciting. How nice to have so many replies already! I quite like the cream one from John Lewis, probably because it is quite like my former ones in style. I wish they were in funky colours though. I like the funk-ability of the long red and white striped one, but in my experience wide is a bit better than long as I like to give exciting things like cellotape and oranges (no, really!)
If you do find a name for those ones that you have, NQC, let me know.
Fab suggestions ladies, keep 'em coming!

Oh, just had a thought, I could get the cream ones and personalise them by dyeing them different colours. (But will FC be able to tell the difference between two different shades of pink in the dark?)
