We bought one and it didn't work on our house. I think we needed to change the ariel / get up in the attic and move it about, but we couldn't be arsed at the time. May get one now though cos I think DD is getting bored with er Tweenies and Balamory DVD re-runs!

Oh yeah , you should ring and make sure you can recieve the signal in your area before you buy just in case you can't and you've wasted your money. They usually advertise it on the telly. Keep your eyes out for it.

We have got cable and they keep watching cartoon network which I think is awful mindless aggressive rubish.I really wnt it for the childrens channels.I do have a pre schooler too and cee beebies would be usefull

you can checkhere to see if your area is covered, but even if it is, you still might need your aerial adjusted. The only way you'll know is to try it, I'm afraid.
We've just got one (not at that price, though) and think it is probably worth it- not only do you get all-day Cbeebies, but the signal is much better, so the picture is much clearer.
Channels,: BBC1, 2, 3, 4, ITV1, 2, Ch 4, Ch5, Cbeebies, CBBC, BBCNews24 and BBCParliament, ITVNews, Sky News, UKTV history, UKTV Bright Ideas (home improvement type shows), Sky Travel, Ftn (can't remember what that is) a few music channels, and a few shopping channels. You can also get Digital Radio stations.
TBH, we only really watch Cbeebies, and the terrestrial channels, though did watch a Simon Schama repeat on UKTV history last night. The rest are pretty mediocre.

If you're in the signal area, go for it. Well worth the money. We were in a "weak" signal area but it's fine most of the time, just the occasional interference, usually on Channel 4. Invaluable for CBeebies, which (luckily) finishes at 7pm!
