Cable internet/broadband - does anyone have this and if so ....

.. do you have many problems getting on-line wireless?

I know it's dull but anyone .
Just about to sign up to ntl and need info.

we have ntl cable broadband and it's been fine for us but we don't have wireless so I'm not much use really!

Can't their customer services help?

We have NTL and a wireless network - mostly OK, but it can be a bit slow in the evenings when everyone's online. I think that's the NTL rather than anything at our end (DH is the technical bod in our house, and that's what he reckons it is).

just had one more thought.....if you have a new house this may not be a problem (thin walls) but in older houses you have to watch the placement of your router as in how many really thick walls you have between your "most desired" placement of computer & router/cable&modem. Of course with a laptop you can change placement to get your best reception.
