Ergo versus Patapum carriers

Apologies if this has been asked before.

These seem to be very similar but the Patapum is over £15 cheaper for the main carrier. I'd like a carrier possibly for the baby (which adds an extra £12 on to the Ergo price) but I'm thinking more about when it is 7 months old next summer and we are on holiday. We may need to swap the baby and DD (will be 3) around in the pushchair.

As the Patapum also comes as a toddler carrier is the price difference reflected by the fact that the Ergo would see you all the way through whereas the Patapum is only really suitable for approx. 13 months (5-18 months)?

When I read this I just saw "Ergo versus patapum" and thought "some ponce has just started a Latin thread. This place is getting worse"

Sorry, carry on, ignore me.

You're just showing off that you recognised it as Latin

Well, my tall almost 2.5yr old DD still fits in the Ergo no probs, so it will definitely go the distance.

I think the toddler patapum is v similar expect you have to sort of thread their legs through the straps when getting them into it - sounded like too much hassle for me, so opted for the new generation Ergo (2nd hand) instead - you just pull the straps over the bodies then put your arms in, much easier imho.
