Just a tip... when you've found the two cheapest insurance quotes tell the more expensive one how much the other one is offering it to you for and there is a good chance they'll undercut the cheapest one. Also... I know it sounds daft but sometimes brokers are really cheap because the big insurance companies give them really good concessions. Try A-plan, Lifesure and Swintons. I bet you'd never guess I worked for an insurance company...

I found swiftcover very cheap. They do everything online. You don't get any paperwork form them (although you can print it off of course).

Post Office came out best for me this year - found that out through confused.com which was a fab service.

Post Office were £250 cheaper than my current insurer - which is Diamond - and Post Office offered a £50 cashback - which has already arrived - making the breakdown cover about £15.

I really recommend confused.com
