Tales of Robin Hood is in Nottingham I think.

Maybe a castle shop?

hulababy · 13/11/2006 20:47

Do you mean something like this?

DumbledoresGirl · 13/11/2006 20:47

My childen got some nice ones recently when we visited Raglan Castle (probably any castle would sell them). The bows are reasonably authentic and the arrows are wooden with rubber stoppers on the end instead of points. They work quite well and the children have had fun shooting them in the garden with no injuries (and no bows breaking) yet!

DumbledoresGirl · 13/11/2006 20:48

Yes Hula! That is what my children have!

DH got DD a wooden bow and arrow (with rubber stopper things) when we visited Azincourt at half term.. She is lethal with it!!!

DumbledoresGirl · 13/11/2006 20:51

THb I find the bows on their own a bit lethal - I keep tripping over them as they don't sit easily on the shelf (not that my children put things on shelves!)

Go to any English Heritage castle and you'll find a shop that sells them.

WhizzBangCaligula · 13/11/2006 20:54

Oh that wooden one is the nicest one I've seen. Looks authentic enough...
