Is there a children's tape recorder that doesn't have a record button?

i remember ruining a few tapes as a kid!

you could always take the tab things off the actual cassette so you can't record over them.

and then stick sellotape back over the tab bit if you do want to record after all!

it wouldn't be a tape recorder with out a record button

ELC do a chunky plastic one with play stop and either FF or Rewind i can't remeber which

ah, thats true , perhaps i should say tape player!

i didn't realize you can control whether you can record or not on the actual tape.
