am looking into buying a playhouse for dd (3rd birthday coming up!!! - doesn't time fly!) and me and dh love the idea of sending her out to live in her house when we need some peace and quiet!!! ha! ha!

so far the cheapest - and also the one that actually fits what we need! is the Waltons poppy playhouse found here www.outdoortoysdirect.co.uk/Wooden-Playhouses/Waltons-Poppy-Playhouse
does anyone know where we could get better or indeed cheaper? also has anyone got a Waltons poppy playhouse... any good???

thanks!

THat Poppy playhouse looks very similar to ours. MIL bought my girls one about 2 yrs ago and it has been fab. We wanted one that would last and our is so solid. The important thing we found was that a propoer base is really good to do. DH and FIL laid a proper slab base, leveled it out etc. and it was worth the 1/2 day to make everything so solid and cosy. Also check the way the wind blows (silly I know) but because our door faces away from most wind, the girls can play in it whatever the weather. I also put it where I could see in if necessary without leaving the house!!

Thanks crunchie... we actually went out to b and q today and saw the poppy playhouse.... unfortunately it was way up high on display... not very useful huh? without the help of a forklift truck.. dd was not able to run around it and 'test' it! ... but it was cheaper than the cheapest online price i can find for a poppy playhouse...
