Best occasional 7 seater?

I'm getting brain ache looking at all of the different options on a tight budget. Currently drive a Zafira but it's dying a death and I fancy a change anyway. Have 3 Young DC and only occasionally use the 2 extra seats but like them there as an option.
Have considered ....
Hyundai sante fe
Seat alambrha
Nissan Quashkai +2 (sp?)
Landrover Discovery (think too £££)
Budget £6000 ideally. Could go up to £8000

Any ideas???? Thanks!

Ooh brilliant feedback thanks-I can't stop thinking about the grand Picasso & I have no interest in cars & would buy a newer model than I test drove. Will check out the verso this avo before taking the family towards the garage for the ones I want tomorrow morn!

I love my Peugeot 5008, which is basically the same car 'underneath' as the Citroen C4 Grand Picasso.

I have a Renault Grand Scenic and although pleased with it initially I have fallen out of love with it due to maintenance costs and it drinks too much petrol.

Yay, picking up grand Picasso on Wednesday. Only 9k miles & £12k. Can't wait! What accessories should I buy in preparation?!

We like our Ford Galaxy because all 7 seats fit adults in all positions, even 3rd row, and all seats are always in the car yet have massive boot when seats folded down and still have good boot when folded up.

Friends with C-max and the other model (S-max?) have exactly same opinion except 3rd rows are child-size.

The SEAT Alhambra I think, it's a great family car. Quiet on the road and has great practicality from my point of view.

Only downside is it's difficult to park and the far back seats a quite cramped in my opinion. Other than that can't really fault it.

If your looking at options though, might be worth looking for the likes of these. bit.ly/1M3SclG

Always best to search the internet for guides and reviews as well as asking for peoples opinions, helps make sure your getting exactly what you want.

I have just sold my Chrysler grand voyager- amazing family car! So practical, and never had a moments bother with it. Highly recommend it!

I forgot about this thread! We wanted a Citroen grand picasso but couldn't find many second hand petrol ones in our price range. We went for a renault grand scenic in the end and we are happy with it. Automatic and petrol. Prefer the fact that the middle seats are individual rather than bench like the zafira.

Yeah i'm all for the SEAT Alhambra and the Ford Galaxy., we found both incredibly practical. Both have flexible seating and storage which is what you want from these type of cars.

But if you're still struggling, might be worth looking at the likes of these too: bit.ly/1kcrLnN
