My mamu pushchair broke this morning, front wheel snapped off.

DD2 is 17months so i need to replace my pushchair. I'm happy to buy secondhand and want to spend up to £75 on a new pushchair.

I've always liked the look of the quinny zapp but are they any good?

I really don't want a maclaren.

no

biglips · 10/11/2006 09:27

there are good but i find it that you struggle if you wanna push it on the grass (park) or the beach as the wheels are so small (my friends got one), also i put my dd in it and she looks like a 5 yr old as she was too big for it (she is 25m old)

LadyTophamHatt · 10/11/2006 09:28

quinny zap??
that that really ugly one isn'y it??
that doesn't recline and doesn't have ashopping basket.

No you don't want one of those.
They are rank.

Get a 30 quid buggy from mothercare/toy rus/ where ever and buy your self soem new shoes with the change.

it is good but it has no shopping basket and tips over really easily.
I had to get rid for that reason
WE got a M+P Alfie Ziko instead and it's grand

katzg · 10/11/2006 09:40

i quite fancy a pulse, it was on my short list but bought the mamu instead (was half price in Argos sale - no why now, they break!!!!!)

I have never heard of the Alfie Ziko. Thought it was rhyming slang for Pliko .

framan · 10/11/2006 10:10

I've got a Quinny Zapp and it serves it purpose for me. It's not the most pratical in terms of it not reclining and no shopping basket but it is zippy or should I say zappy. Fits in my boot nice and compact.

What's the alfie ziko got then?

horsemadgal · 10/11/2006 11:17

I love the Zapp. It is so easy to push even one handed around supermarkets. And that's with an almost 3 year old.

But yes downside is that it doesn't recline, so maybe not ok if your little one likes to sleep in buggy a lot.

katzg · 10/11/2006 15:28

we only use our buggy for getting to nursery, trips into town, other wise she walks, she is a good walker. i was attracted to the smallness of it. i have got a big mamas and papas 3 in 1 which i am about to sell but its too big for the nursery run.

Also noticed that Zapps seem to hold their value, they are selling for quite a bit on ebay.

I like my zapp - squishes small, easy to steer. Not had tipping up problems, or grass problems tbh. DS seems to sleep in any position

Mum2FunkyDude · 10/11/2006 15:52

I have a Zapp.

I got it because FunkyDude does not sleep in a buggy and I live out in the sticks so only need it when I drive into town. It is compact and quick to fold and easy to store next to all your shopping.
