Junior Ready Bed vs My First Ready Bed

What's the difference? Both are 155cm long. Have got to get one for DS who's 2 so veering towards the one with sides but want to get the one that lasts the longest.

we have both, i prefer the my first ready bed, its a bit more cosier for the younger ones

chicaguapa · 09/11/2006 23:08

Are they really both the same size? The My First One does look cosier.

I thought the 1st ready bed was shorter? It does have quite a thick 'headboard', so overall sleeping length is probably reduced compared to the junior one.

We have the 1st ready bed, DD (29 mths) loves it but it won't last til she's 4/5 by any stretch of the imagination. I'd go for the junior - the sides on the 1st one aren't very raised at all, and the cover on the junior one zips up both sides so they don't fall out anyway. Also, sure I've seen the junior one for less than £20 if you don't mind winnie the pooh!

I was about to post about the same thing. Another question - with the junior beds, has anyone seen designs for boys other than the godawful power ranges and spiderman (maybe superman??) ones that I've seen?

I've seen a thomas First bed for toddlers but not one for the older / junior bed??

Kidstrack · 10/11/2006 14:23

ds has the Thomas junior ready bed and he is 7, will probably do till he is about 10, we bought it in argos about 3yrs ago

There's a Winnie the Pooh junior bed here - is that boyish enough?

JoshandJamie · 10/11/2006 20:13

Thanks for that link. Perfect. I just hate those superhero ones - am sure my son will love them soon enough but for now, I'm going to go with PooH. Thanks

Thanks for the tips. Have decided to go for one of each as DD is now wanting one too! By the looks of it the resale value on ebay is quite high so should be ok for the short term if it turns out to not last very long.
