Am searching for some info I have somewhere for some I intended to deal with months ago it's soooo annoying as I can't find it will keep trying and hopefully come back to you soon it's sooo annoying as I can see the name of the company but can't remember them ahhhhhhh

I have them too - chose not to have polished ones, must have been mad! (Well, am assuming yours are unpolished?) Stovax make "slate dressing" - it's kind of oily stuff that you rub in. I clean mine with any old rag first.

hm - no suppliers on google though - I feel let down! Anyway you can usually get it in a fireplace shop?
