There was an article in the paper today about 'slimming creams' and amazingly tests have shown that the above cream in particular was shown to have reduced the size of various testers thighs by 2 cm over 2 weeks - has anyone tried this cream? I did have to double check the date to make sure it wasn't April Fool's Day as this sounds too good to be true!

If it sounds it, it must be...sorry.

noddy5 · 01/05/2004 16:37

apparently doctors have said this is the only one of these creams that has definitely worked in trials

Boxoffrogs - read this and it was also in the Daily Mail (she says, shrinking away into the shadows so that all those anti-Mail readers don't see her). I think it has been proven, and the Loreal stuff costs about £10 from Boots. Worth a try maybe for anyone wanting a bit of extra help???!

They did say that L'Oreal might not be pleased at this result since it may only then be available on prescription. That was in the Indie so it must be true

marthamoo · 01/05/2004 22:53

I need more than 2cms of help

I have just been to buy some Perfectslim (Superdrug save 1/3rd - £7.32) - why would it only be on prescription? Am very tempted to use it on one leg only!!!

noddy5 · 02/05/2004 16:28

if it doesn't work and simply smooths the surface it is cosmetic but if it has an actual physical/metabolic action it is a medicine-yes I am a sad product junkie!

misty · 02/05/2004 20:18

sexgoddess - drat, i paid £10 something from boots and ordered it online (£3.50 postage) cause I was frightened they would sell out Wish I'd know about Superdrug - perhaps I should go and stock up from there!
Anyway how about we keep posting here to see how many cm's we are losing! Mind you, I won't get my cream til next week so you will have a head (or thigh) start on me Do you intend using it anywhere else?

Yes I've decided to use it liberally between my knees and my boobs!! Boots did have none in stock when I went in but SD had quite a bit.

I have been using a much cheaper lotion that seems to have a real effect on, um, firming the skin on my thighs - Bodytonic by Garnier. Smells gorgeous too!

Hi there ladies, just new to this site and while browsing I saw your discussion on perfectslim. I first read about it on the internet,
how wonderful french scientists thought it was and what a success it had proved to be so I thought why not try it and see. I bought mine from Asda at £8.56 and have been using it for over 3 weeks now. I am very pleased with the results. I have noticed quite a difference on the areas I have been treating, but more importantly I have lost over three quarters of an inch on each thigh. It may not have the same results on everyone but I would say give it a go and see especially as its not the most expensive cellulite cream out there. Good luck.
