I remember the rush to get the last one.

Can I just suggest not to bother if you have a dd that wants one.

My dd really wanted the first one. She got it for her birthday last year and is not hard on her toys. It's hair went the way Barbie hair always goes and it was a matted lump within a few weeks Really disappointing.

Dd has the pegasus one It's crap. Colour change mane doesn't work very well, and it has very little play value

shudder

It's rubbish dd played with hers last year for about 10 minutes!

foxinsocks · 08/11/2006 20:01

ours is sat on the top of dd's toy box like some ghoulish reminder of last Xmas

what do your girls want this year? dd (age 6) doesn't seem to know yet (but is still into nasty dolls and such like)

angmarie · 08/11/2006 20:12

My friend went everywhere last xmas to get my daughter one as she was so desperate to have one and she has hardly touched it it is just collecting dust on her dressing table.

They are such a rip off

Can I be the only one who saw the thread title and thought "Mafia Barbie"?

Earlier this week I stood in Argos with my pen poised, having done the computer-jobbie-wotsit to check they were in stock. I peered closely at the picture and decided I needed to go and look at one 'in person' so to speak so I exited Argos and went to Woolies where I gazed solemnly at the object of DD's affections for a full 3 minutes.

Finally I couldn't do it. She will just have to go without. There is something fundamentally wrong with such a pink fluffy lump of only vaguely equine-related plastic and polyester. With hair bobbles; lots of them and if I am not mistake, make up.

No.

I would rather shell out for healied.

tbh dd still quite likes hers - it often becomes our fourth person in Monopoly (if Bencer, ds's bear hasn't already claimed that spot)

poppyh · 09/11/2006 08:06

God i hate Barbie. DD is 3 and at the mo, not that into it, she does want barbies pooing dog though!
No way!my mil bought her a wedding carriage and horse and it fell apart straight away.

fubsy · 10/11/2006 19:52

Barbies pooing dog? Is that real? Cant recommend the horses head. DD put my stick foundation all over hers - never got rid of it all......
