Does anyone other than BRITISH GAS do a Homecare agreement???

I have one of these schemes with B Gas and frankly the service is pretty poor. The idea is great so I was wondering if any other company does it?

Really? We've found them really good - what's happened?

Think many insurance companies do emergency cover but not so sure re:servicing , perhaps the other utilities offer it ?

There's a company called Homeserve, they are based in Walsall. They specialise in Home Emergency cover. Hope this helps.

Why not put the money you would spend on one aside and use it to get someone private in?

A couple of months ago our combi boiler stopped working. Engineer came out said he would be back the following day as he needed to order a part. He never returned. B Gas computers were down that day so they had no record who it was and ordered a new engineer who came the following day and had to order the same part to fix it the following day. We were without hot water for about 4 or 5 days.

Last year the engineer twice failed to turn up. Doing a little research on the net and found Homeserve and Homecall+. Homecall+ seem the best.

Also I hate that you are asked to wait for 6 hrs as they can't be more specific than that. This really pisses me off as so often they haven't turned up. Additionally they don't seem to have fixed the problem as we are without hot water again.

I think that insurance compnay with the little red telephone (can't remember it's name) do something. We have the B Gas one and as yet haven't had a problem

Well they turned up at 18.45 (45 mins late and no apology) and it's too late for them to order part so now have to wait until Wed. AAAAGGGGHHHHHHHH
