Boden sizing - girls' dresses and tops?

Just wondering if the sizing comes up large or small for girls' dresses and tops? I've only bought jeans before, which seem pretty generous around the waist, but not sure if I've read that tops are smaller?

Need to order a dress asap for a couple of posh christenings coming up...!

reasonably accurate ime. dd2 is 4 and I get her 3-4, dd1 is 6 and she's usually 5-6 - though both girls are quite petite

I have found them pretty accurate too, my DTs are 3 in Dec and wearing 2-3 tops. They also wore dresses this summer that they'd had the previous summer, still fitted in all the right places!

They do give actual measurements for the sizes on the website. I have to use them as I have freakishly large children.
