Wireless TV link - Can anyone answer a question for me ?

The situation we have is that we would like to be able to watch freeview, or a DVD on our spare TV. We can apparently buy a wireless TV link. But what I need to know is would we able to watch one channel, or a DVD on our main TV and be able to watch a different channel at the same time on the spare TV.
If anyone has a wireless TV link would appreciate a recommendation.
Thank you

Yes, we can watch different channels in different rooms. Transmitter box in living room has dvd, video and cable box plugged into it and receiver is in kitchen/diner. You can choose one channel on the transmitter and one on the receiver. Not sure of the model, but ours is a Phillips one - works well most of the time, except when microwave is on.

Hattie2, thanks for this. We were looking at a Phillips one - it's a PHILIPS SLV5400. Do you know which model yours is ?

my mum has a quite large house and could not get the wireless thingy to work between the 2 tvs she wanted to link.... even the tv electical guy person couldnt get it to work and suggested fitting a new ariel... which they did!

Hmmm - am thinking we might just be better off getting a second freeview box. It is mostly the TV we want to watch (as opposed to DVD or Video). My boys have started arguing as one wants to watch cBeebies and the other wants to watch CBBC !

Yes, it is the SLV5400 we've got. We did consider a second freeview box but you need a proper aerial for both tv's in that case
