High Instep wide foot - school shoe nightmare- Ricosta advice please

I have been trying to buy black lace up school shoes for my son. In Clarks he measures 6G but their shoes don't fit him as his instep is too high. We have tried M and S and Debenhams wide fit and no good and tried Geox shoes but they are not high enough to get his foot in.

Was going to try Ricosta. Which size should I buy? Was thinking 6.5? How wide does the extra wide fitting come up?

Ds has really wide and high feet, and didn't have to size up in Ricosta

Ok thank you. Looking at the school shoes they come in medium or wide but didn't want them to be too wide for him. I can't see a guide anywhere.

Did you just order the standard shoe?

Thanks

He had wide, and is an H fitting. Well, in Clarks they'd try and persuade me that he was a G as they never had an H in...

More recently, as his feet have got bigger (but still wide and high), Start Rite in some styles have been good

Thanks for your help. I am sure he is wider than a G. Clarks are really bad if you have wide feet.

My daughter is a H fitting in Clarks and none of their Velcro sandles will go over her foot!

My dd has wide feet and a high instead (only 2.5years old) and we have been buying ricosta since she's walked, I love their shoes! The shops we buy them from fit the shoes like you would in clarks.
