I am looking at getting a designer nappy changing bag. I have seen a juicy couture one in selfridges BUT wondered if anyone knows any websites that also sells designer bags..?

Seen as it will be used daily for the next year or so I wanted to treat myself . (Any excuse )

designer bags are really a bit of a do-you really-need-it-when-any-old-bag-will-do..... but then again i was hankering after the ones in john lewis .... oi oi and little company ones... just that i have a thing for bags at the moment... but then came across them in TK Maxx with £20 off the usual price... so if you really are looking, go check out TK Maxx and see what they've got...

I have one of these

(it was a present, before you ask)

just get a nice bag

and put your changing stuff in it

Don't bother with a caboodles one. I managed to lose the natty matching changing mat within weeks of getting it. The straps to attach it to the pram broke and annoyingly its not quite big enough for all the stuff. Now I am using a really naff free one that someone lent me, I may treat myself to one of those big satchel bags that are really in at the minute.

I like the Cath Kidston ones.

Happybags have a good range. I bought something from them a few months ago & they were v.good, speedy delivery! happybags.co.uk/home
Enjoy treating yourself

Get the big VIP from happybags and keep it loaded with nappies etc, then put it in any bag you like when you go out. That's what I do. I have a little VIP for me too!

Good idea, normalness. I have a small vip for me & it's great coz I get to use all my bags now!

i love my little company black bag. it was a bargain on ebay

accessorizequeen · 04/11/2006 20:05

me too, misdee, out of my 8 changing bags, the lc one is rapidly becoming my favourite. The way it hangs on the buggy so much better than the skip hop doodah (I sold mine on, it annoyed me so much).

misdee · 04/11/2006 20:07

yes, the strap is great. mine is just a basic black and grey LC one. it can fit a whole days cloth nappies, snacks, drink, keys purse etc in it. and it washes well lol.

accessorizequeen · 04/11/2006 20:26

mine's the basic model too, I think. I find it a bit big right now, but as I'm going to try cloth nappies with new baby due in December, sounds like it will be just right!

sorry about delay in reading this thread but been a busy bee..!!

The vip bag looks like a good idea...Very tempting!!
I did have an oioi bag with dd but the strap would only go over my shoulder and NOT around me like a typical messenger bag iykwim and when carrying dd etc it was a nightmare as never seemed to stay on my shoulder. It also never fitted well onto the pram...BTW I just sold it on ebay....!!

So may to choose from..

Thanks for the suggestions though. xx
