It's been professionally cleaned but still smells in one place - any suggestions?

Could it be whats under the carpet - ie the floorboards?

McWitch · 29/10/2006 08:25

It's not a piss smell, it's the smell of a dog's coat (nice)

Unfortunately yes. I saw a programme once where similar occured and it turned out that the floorboards where the problem - not the carpet.

what, urine on the floor boards ?

but does dog urine smell of doggy fur? it's definitely not urine smell (I know as we have a cat who used to piddle on our old carpet)

how about sprinkly a tub of bicarbonate of soda over the area? I would leave it overnight and then hoover up in the morning. We used to have a Labrador and although he was a gorgeous dog I had real problems with the smell of his coat - yuk!

yup... did u see how clean is your house 2 or 3 weeks ago...

it was the floor and the underlay that were the REAL problem EWWW

otger wise id sprinkle with bicarb and leave for several hours before hoovering it off and see if that helps!
