She will be 6 in Jan. I don't know what to get if I get her one at all, I brought her a leap pad a few years ago after her constant nagging, but she rarely uses it. IMO they do not look very good, the screens are small with very bad graphics, however that might just be me used to a large monitor.
She does use the family computer sometimes (though not often as DD2 wants to join in) and likes the CBeebies website etc. is there anything additional she can get from a toy laptop or will it be a passing novalty?
