Pram advice for new mum-to-be please?

I am 30 weeks' pregnant with my first baby. A friend has given me a Graco 'Dakota' pram which she bought second hand. I don't like it much as it feels cumbersome and doesn't collapse easily. I was going to persist with it, with a Maclaren Techno Classic for later (or maybe as back up?), but now my mum has offered to buy me a new pram. What do MNers think about replacing both the Graco and the Maclaren with something like a M&P Pliko Pramette? (I haven't spent any money yet.) I live in North London so public transport more of an issue than driving. All advice gratefully received.

i personally cant say a bad thing about a pliko pramette - the best i have had and im quite a pramaholic!
misdee will be along soon i'm sure and she will prob agree.
no probs on the bus with a pliko.

would go for techno myself
won one (here actually!) and it's all I used for dd2 - I used a sling for first month or so and then techno - still used the sling though

have packed it away for dd3 as using double buggy at the moment

Thanks very much for the advice, both of you. Have decided to go for the Pramette since the offer is there from my Mum. At least I can stop stressing about it now! Cheers.
