I need a new (second-hand) car. I absolutely hate buying cars. It is already filling me with dread.
Does anyone have positive (or I suppose negative) things to say about buying through the Volvo Selekt scheme? Or other similar schemes you can refer me too? (Please...??). selekt.volvocars.co.uk
It looks like (1) you get a relatively good 30 day return (although I'm not quite convinced its "no quibble" - www.volvocars.com/uk/sales-services/sales/volvoselekt/Pages/guarantee_tc.aspx) or (2) a 6m - 12m "guarantee" which would look like it covers "lemons" if not a bog-standard issue like a new exhaust or whatever? Has anyone actually used these? Was the experience OK?
And, oh wise mumsnetters, are the "prices" listed on this Volvo website hagglable or are they fixed? Should I assume they are in fact all 10% off or whatever?
