Looking for a 7 plus seater with boot space help!

We are currently a family of 5 but have twins on the way so I need a bigger car. We have a Touran which has no boot space with 7 seats up and I would preferably like more solid seats for 6 & 7 rather than flimsy ones.

Any ideas as I am struggling to find anything.

Might have to go to 9 seaters, they are more expensive to insure. The Ford Torneo leaps to mind.

Ford S Max?

7 seats, still room for shopping?

In the middle row you can fit three isofix car seats in a row.

Ford Galaxy a bit bigger than the S Max and bit cheaper but not as nice or car like to drive.

Seat Alhambra/ VW sharan are good but quite pricey, I like the sliding doors.

Citroen grand Picasso a similar size but I don't know much about it.

The 7 seat Peugeot takes three seats across the back I think but seats 6 and 7 are flimsy/small and boot small when they're up.

What's your budget and any other requirements?

A Ford Tourneo is a bloody van! No family needs that surely?!!! :)

I would stay clear of Citroens and Peugeots. A Ford Galaxy/S Max seems ideal to be honest.

Vw caddy maxi life.

We have a Mazda bongo. 8 seats, loads of room behind. It's only as long /wide as an estate just extra height. V easy to manoeuvre, better than the big cars I test drove
Sliding door is really useful too!

friends with 6-7 kids drive/drove a Torneo. Would be best if OP returned to say just how much boot space she wants.

AliBingo · 01/03/2015 19:54

Oh yes I've seen the bongo and thought it looked good. I know someone with S Max who's v pleased with it. Also someone who bought a grey import Toyota Previa from a dealer somewhere in southeast, good spec, few years old and very good price they're very happy.

I guess you'll need a big boot for double buggy?

I have the new shape Kia Sedona and it's very roomy. 7 full size seats and a bit of boot space.
