Can you put a newborn baby in a travel cot? Probably a daft question but I was considering buying one and wondered

Some come with a bassinet for small babies to save you bending so far over

Yes you can. You might find baby needs to be swaddled if not heavy enough for a gro bag as there's a fair amount of space in a travel cot aNd they might feel 'lost'
