some bog-standard, mid brown court shoes, medium heel, I don't even care if they are sling backs

I don't want beige, taupe, camel or brown so dark its almost black, nor do I want snakeskin effect, leopard skin effect, 8 different shades of brown on the same shoe (what is WRONG with these people?), brown sandals, brown boots or brown pumps

I just want some bog standard, mid height, mid brown court shoes - HOW HARD CAN THIS BE???

Any ideas anyone, cos I think I have been to every bloody shoe shop in the north now!

Have you tried the K village at Kendal - excellent bargains to be had and also not just this season's shoes.

Aren't Russell and Bromley usually good for these sort of things? Or Bally?

Thanks SexGoddess but they are all camel, patterned, very pointy toed or too bloody expensive! I am NOT paying £75 for a pair of shoes (well I will if needs be but DH was around just then!)
Yes essbee, tried M and S, I was convinced they wouldn't let me down but they did, and BhS. I'd have thought plain brown courtshoes would be everywhere - am I ahead of my time or 10 years behind it?!!
