Hi there, looking for a good quality badge blanket - the one on the scout online shop is dry clean only and i can't imagine for a second it won't need cleaning so looking for a good alternative.

Any one found any good ones ?

Thanks in advance for your help

Er, just buy a cheap polyester fleecy one in a variety store for about 3-4 quid? That's what DD has for Guides, very easy care.

Yep, buy a fleece from sainsburys or tescos.

Thanks, was thinking of all that sewing and wondering whether a cheapy one would last enough years :)

I use the section specific fleece blankets, as they are better quality than cheap fleeces but still ok to bung in the washing machine. The one you are looking at is the grey one made of wool, right? That one is very heavy as well, better suited to adults or older scouts/explorers doing proper week-long treks in the wilderness Grin

DD's fleece Guide blanket is 6 yrs old? Seems okay for it. Badges can be fiddley to sew on it (bit stretchy, not major prob).

Thanks RigbyandMordecasisMum, i did't spot those, will have another look, good point about the heavyness too, i had't thought of that.
