We are going abroad for a few months and really need a lay flat buggy so DD can lay down properly and go to sleep as we will be relying on it for daytime naps and for part of her nighttime routine.

I have googled maclaren and silver cross pop, they say suitable from birth but does that mean they lay flat??? DD loves to lay on her belly!

tia for any advice x

Hey Mothballs

I just brought Maclarens Techno XT and I am very pleased with it and how flat it actually goes. DD (5months)will not go to sleep easily unless she can lay flat. Easy to put up and down and light. So far so good I would reccommend.
Hope this helps and have a great trip

normally if they say from birth it means it lies flat.

No buggy I have seen allows for a completely flat position. I have Aria from Mamas and Papas, it lies quite a lot and is only 5Kgs (11lb) but I don't think I would make my dd lay on her belly on that. Why don't you visit with her a place like John Lewis or Mothercare? You could try some buggies and see which one she seems to enjoy the most.

the best sort to look for are the 2 in 1 buggys as they definitely lie flat because the front lifts up to make it into a carry cot type thing for a newborn and you have it facing you. but it would lie just as flat if you have it as a pushchair for a toddler without bringing the front up iyswim.
