Venture - can you still can their images?

Off to view our venture portraits tomorrow. When we had the last ones done 4 years ago we could take the tape off the back, remove the picture and scan it to keep a copy on our computer. Can you still do this or have they found another way of stopping. Just wondering how many copies to buy tomorrow without selling a kidney.

Hope so, as we're planning on getting our photographer neighbour to enlarge for us. We were given a gift experience which includes a 10 by 8 but offset the price against 3 7 by 5's.

A friend had some done last month and couldn't get the back off to do this.
