Hospital Birthing Pools

I am looking for a supplier of Birthing Pools because we need a new one for our new hospital (permanent fixture. However, I have been searching the web with no good result. There are a few but I don't really like them. I was looking for a design that had a shower attachment with it (have seen it somewhere). Also women have said they would like grip handles on the side when climbing in or out. Any of you out there who have used a pool been in one that you think was fab? Any idea who manufactured it?

UCH used to have one with all the features you mention. This was in Sept 2000, when I was in labour with ds in the pool room but never actually got to go into the pool itself . Unfortunately by the time I was in labour with dd in Dec 2002 they had replaced it with a pathetic-looking little inflatable one (at least it looks inflatable) but maybe they would be able to tell you where they got the previous one from. I didn't get to go into that pool either .

University of Wales college Hospital, Cardiff (aka Heath Hospital) had something along these lines.

Thanks SueW - had seen that site but Idon't really like the look of them. It is hard to get any info on other companies that must be out there. Thanks for the info marialuisa and prettycandles.

This is a US site but the one it describes seems to have everything you wanted. There's no picture but there is a downloadable pdf file which may have more info. It even has underwater lights!! It's not cheap however...
