Does anyone know where to get wooden doll's house furniture that isn't going to bankrupt me?

DD is desperate for a doll's house for Christmas and luckily had overindulgent grandma buying one for her so dh and I thought we could buy some furniture but it is sooooooooooooo expensive! The cheapest stuff I can find is here but I'm a bit dubious as to why this one internet shop has about 5 different names (I realise it's self assembly btw!) I'm actually happy to paint it to make it look good. I've looked on ebay too, it's another possibility.
Also all the dolls are HIDEOUS , any tips on nice dolls would be great too.
DD is only 3yrs so we don't need any of the 'serious' dolls house stuff, just chunky, bright wooden stuff that she can actually play with.

Thanks everyone!

Early Learning centre has nice sets of dolls house furniture.

We have this one which I think is good value (nb price include house and furniture). This one looks good too.

However I would have to confess that a wooden dolls house was what I could cope with. Ds2 would have prefered something more Cinderella-like and pink. His house doesn't get played with that much, but he can't be torn away from his friends' pink castles (which he will play with for hours).

Thanks! The Toysrus stuff looks a good price. I love playmobil too.
