MIL would look up the rpice of the material - declare me wantonly wasting her sons hard earned cash and tell me she could have got something much cheaper - not understanding my total and utter allergy to candy pink and tv themed things

I've just made one for my kitchen, it took just two evenings, however I have had the fabric for over a year but little things like a new baby got in the way of that. They're pretty simple to do are you really that bad at sewing? Have you had a look at the kits you can buy, never used one but might be worth a go. The best thing about roman blinds is that they take virtually no fabric to make so can use v. expensive material. I'm in Bucks so no use to you I think.

Flutter not bad at sewing just a lazy ass with no decent space to work out a blind for a 1.8 metre window
Have got lovely lady to do it for me for £70 I've already got the fabric
Feel suitably chuffed, and sick at myelf that I feel so excited over bloody windown furnishings...
I would attempt a smaller window myself

do...

and in a shameless plug - i also make cushions (can take commissions) and customise chair covers and peg bags and so on...

er... all of which will be for sale on my stall in a couple of weeks at cabbages and frocks in marylebone.

...and for sale on my website which is being updated now to have a shop on it, as well as the interior design portfolio.

sorry
plug over. but always happy to find new clients!
