this sort of thing is what i'm after

i have 1.3m width to play with (an alcove).

anyone know of any genius toy storage that ds will be able to get to most of. we've got stacking boxes atm and they are useless as ds can't see into or get to most of it....

I have Leksvig bookcases form Ikea with their cheap blue crates on. Also, Ikea's Trofast system is good.

Try The Great little trading company

This Any Good?

why don't you have a go at making something Sophable? I'm no Bob the Builder but I have had a go at making a few things since having children (and my DIY black out blinds were the best ever!!).

You know, when you look at those sort in real life, the storage bits aren't actually a very good use of space, unless you only have lots of very small toys. Trust me, I've been looking for the ultimate solution for months! I've decided that for now, theyeach have a huge plastic box at the foot of their bed/cot, a crate with shared duplo, and then when they get bigger we will redecorate, redesign, and prob get the low cabin beds with loads of shelves and drawers under them.
The best I did consider was Trofast, but its sooo expensive; you'd need it second hand! Did think it'd make a good room divider too, between their beds.

look for a local carpenter and i'm sure they could knock you up something with a bit of mdf... which is what we did and he built the most fantastic storage (four cupboards and lots of shelves which hold all those stacking boxes - i measured them and gave the carpenter the exact width/height of the shelves which we needed! - even measured the tallest book we had at the time to ensure that the bookshelves would fit ALL books!)

we've got the Ikea stuff as well - here

We have the stepped version in the DSs' bedroom and the other one downstairs - very useful.
