are they worth it?

even if you are short / chubby and have huge calves?

do they just look like wellies?

They are fab!! I'm tall, so have largish calves, and I've had a pair of flat black leather ones for 3 years - they still look almost new and the leather is v good quality I went to the Bath shop to buy them.

I did find last winter tho' that a lot of boots now seem to be wider (and my calves certainly haven't got any thinner) - got some great suede ones from John Lewis which fit fine, and most of the Clarks ones fitted too.

I have skinny legs and now own 2 pairs of their boots. Great fit, great quality and last for ages, making the price more bearable!

I have ultra skinny calves (duos smallest measurement) and love love love duo as they are the only brand I get s nug fit with
I have the duo ravenna, I am wearing them now but when don't I I LOVE them

I have 3 pairs of Duo boots - one pair almost 9 years old - riding boots black with a tan top - now safely relegated to mutt walking only...

Another pair of smart black boots about 5 years old

And last years brown suede wedge ones

As you can see - they last for ever - buy them at the shop - the assistants are unfailingly nice - if you can.

I have a pair - they are lovely. YOu could also try Evans, as their boots also cater for the larger calf (still wouldn't fit mine, but there you go). (Apologies - 'the larger calf' looks ridiculous as a phrase).

very very tempting! thanks to all you stylish lot... might pop into town tommorrow and have a look around evans etc... but am very very tempted..!!!!
