PIXEL CHIX - any good?

Just wondered if anyone had any experience of them DD1 wants a pixel chick for christmas and am not sure if it is worth the money. She has had a tamagotchi in the past and also has a nintendogs game for her DS but doesn't really play with them. I am inclined to think that it will be back in the box by boxing day but would love any advice or info from anyone who has one for their children.

Thanks for the info, I think it would be a short term hit but like the other virtual pets etc that she has had it would soon be neglected and I certainly don't like the idea of it turning nasty.

DD has the 2 story house. She has had it only 2 weeks and has played it on/off. It seems quite good but very expensive for money (£35) My other DD has a princess max which seems to be just as popular and only £10, Tamogotchi has probably more play value. It also would probably easily break and the batteries run out quite quickly. I would say it would probably be used on/off short term, unless there are 2 to connect/interact with each other which adds play value. what about buying the cheapest one to see if she plays with it (maybe car)
