Digital camera recomendations

I am a keen amateur photographer who loves her film SLR camera but I do take a lot of photos, last month I spent £50 on printing.

I am looking to buy a digital that would be an addition for my film camera as I love it too much to part with it. I want my photos to look like photos which I have never thought digital photos do. I don't really want to spend more than about £200 as I will probably also be taking it into work as the digital we have access to is crap!

Any ideas, especially from film loving converts.

I forgot to mention... get a large memory card.... I think with a large memory card you can get up to 90mins of video...

actually that sounds a lot.. I'm going to check...

can't find it on a website.. but hubby thinks it is 90 mins... whatever you decide to buy review the camera first on the internet...

it has rechargable batteries... we brought 2 batteries so we always have one charged...
