that's a topper, i think. i've got the whole mattress which i love but my mum bought a topper and she thinks it's great.

Where did you get the mattress from? Just looked on the Tempur website and the kingsize is 1400 quid!

TheBlairAitchProject · 15/10/2006 15:53

i got mine off a bed company that sells a lot on ebay. they were based in newcastle. it's not a real tempur mattress but memory foam is memory foam... king-size cost £375 as i recall but i cut a deal with him and got a bit off cos i was buying a bed also.

I have one, and its fab, could'nt be without it.

I have just ordered a memory foma mattress, couldn't afford a tempur one though. I am sure that there was a MN thread about someone selling dodgy memory foam so just e careful. But I woudl imagine that you will ahve checked out their ratings so enjoy your new sleep!

there was a dodgy memory foam thing on ebay, i recall. that's why i checked out the firm in newcastle.

fin54 · 15/10/2006 19:33

OMG hope I have not wasted £110 buying this from ebay. does anyone know what dodgy foam mattress it was.

it was the mattresses that were dodgy, i don't remember anythign about toppers. basically people were just getting ordinary (crap) mattresses thourhg the post. don't worry.

twinsetandpearls · 17/10/2006 22:28

Didnt mean to piss on anyone's parade, in between dealing with hormonal teenagers and bitter colleagues I have been felling awfully guilty that you were excited about your new mattress ( and as someone about to recive her new bed whihc replaces the one her dp was born in I do understand your excitement) and I ahd come along and ruined it all with my sourpuss scaremongering. Sorry.
