I've seen this too, and would be glad of some feedback. In the past Studio was one of the Fund-raising catalogues, wasn't it? The sort of thing groups use to swell their coffers.

Grrrrr

A few years ago e moved house and notified them, they continued to send to us at our new address buta lso at the old... chap livng there ran up huge bill in our name and then vanished, took ages to persuade them to clear it and not take us to courtfor the balance.

So not a huge fan!

I have bought things from them. Ther stuff doesn't always arrive, they charge £3.95 postage for each parcel but sneakily send out one order into two parcels.
Stopped using them when I wasn't sent a bill when I moved house (was sent to old address) so they charged me extra admin fee for not paying bill on time!
I just put their catalogue in the recyling bin now!

I've been using them for about 5 years now, only for xmas stuff though.
I normally order when the xmas catalogue comes out and i buy all wrapping paper, cards etc.
Good prices and never had a problem with them.

Only used them once. Wasn't at all impressed with the quality of the cards or wrapping paper, & they tried to bill me £14 for a late payment, when I had paid by debit card originally!!
I wouldn't use them again!

I have used them for a couple of years with no problems. Dont even get the multiple packages lark.

I've used them for years with no problems, until last year when my order and my details were sent to a lady 60 miles away. She phoned studio repeatly but nothing was done and then she phones me. I rang studio but again nothing was done.

Studio then couldnt send me out replacements as they were out of stock! I was billed for items and it took 6 months to clear the account, they kept adding charges every month but did eventually clear them too.

hockeymum · 14/10/2006 17:16

awful awful awful

a lot of the stuff they sell is old stock from other shops and sold without original packaging etc. The half price thing is a con too as most of the prices are a pound or two cheaper than you could get them in Argos.

Its very hard to return things to them, they ALWAYS bill you wrong. It can take well over an hour to get through to their customer service department and they are rude and unhelpful.

I've told my granny in law not to buy things from there for my children as they are always useless.

Hmmmn, after that rant, do you think maybe I don't like Studio?

PopsP · 17/10/2006 14:13

Oh God, I wish I had looked here before ordering from them. I have ordered lots of the half priced craft items, but I was worried that they seemed too good to be true. I should have trusted my instinct.
Fingers crossed

SPACEdoutzombieCADET · 17/10/2006 14:25

ive heard bad things about them, mainly people being billed when they didnt owe money, also a friend of mine used to order from there a nd they used to send the wrong order, shed then have to try and send it back and get the right order sent..blah blah, she gave up with them when they sent her some christmas lights that were dangerous.

PopsP · 18/10/2006 12:45

Well so far so good. My complete order turned up today (I only ordered it last Friday). All the stuff seems O.K so far.
I will keep my fingers crossed that the payment side goes as smoothly.

i've used them once b4 and basically when we moved I rang them to tell them but apparnelty they couldn't find my acocunt sdetails, so had to set up a new account here - anyhow the gits went and sent me a new book to my old address (thankfully wqe've got post forwardsed so I can now ring again and change the address and cancell teh new acocunt - the bloke on teh phone was v v hard to understand and I wasn't impressed when he said they couldn't find my details - if that was the case why did I have a leaflet wiht them on?? shocking.

no probs with the goods thou - am after gerttin a few bits for Joeys xmas on there.
