I've got one, does that count?

foxinbubblesletsmaketrouble · 12/10/2006 22:00

I got one and used it for a couple of weeks and absolutely loved it. You can really work up a sweat in front of the telly and its great to get rid of tension.

I only stopped 'cos I realised I was PG and had a MC las year, so didn't want to take any risks.

I would deffo recommend it. You can get the Reebok one in Argos quite cheap.

DS and DD also love it, as do their friends.

Heathcliffscathy · 12/10/2006 22:07

lilibet you can buy ours if you like....nearly new proper supertramp one....

make me an offer!

Dragonhart · 12/10/2006 22:20

I bought one and it is really good, but I havent used it much. Not sure if that is cos it isnt any good or cos I would rather sit and watch telly onthe sofa than bouncing up and down! Prob because I am lazy!!

I bought one to get fit after pregnancy with a naff 80s videoo which helped me keep the pace up. It was surprisingly effective in getting my heart rate up and also helped me tone back up my pelvic floor muscles (sorry if TMI)

mymama · 13/10/2006 09:16

Have used one but must admit that I had a slight, erm, bladder problem with it. Same as skipping. Have had 3 kids and did all my pelvic floor exercises but still .

just ordered pt bouncer complete workout dvd as otherwise I just jog on it. Only ordered it as I'm not going to the gym as much and need to tone up. They're great and don't put too much strain on knees. You really burn fat on them and they're fun! Just make sure you use it when the kids aren't around otherwise you're wrestling them for it

WiFiWhizzJustCallMeaGeek · 13/10/2006 11:40

i think i'll go to argos and get one this weekend.

am desperate to do some excercise but just cannot get into the gym these days.

d'you need the bar thing to hold onto?

the fold up one might be better but argos don't do them!

mumfor1standfinaltime · 13/10/2006 11:58

I go trampolining once a week, but on a 'real' trampoline! It is great fun and gets your heart rate going.
I used to have one of those small ones but it ended up collecting dust..!

WiFiWhizzJustCallMeaGeek · 13/10/2006 12:19

i used to do trampolining at school and loved it!

i just really need something i can do at home preferably when dh is looking after dd!

lilibet · 13/10/2006 12:24

The one in Tesco which is £20 says that it can be folded for storage.

Not sure how that would work

I have one and love it when I get the chance to use it, which sadly is not enough (I have a slight problem in that I hate exercising in the evenings when I actually get the time to go on it). If you google rebounding there are loads of websites (mostly American where it is more popular) which make the most incredible claims (ie burns fat, tones, good for all your body cells and lymphatic system, helps balance etc etc) - don't know how true they are but seems to come from some reputable sources. But it's great fun and I don't think you need the bar - I got one with mine and have never used it.

foxinbubblesletsmaketrouble · 13/10/2006 20:49

Wizi - Oh that mini bouncy thing!!!

It is a Reebok Rebounder from Argos: Cat No: 302-6641. £24.99 and worth every penny!

foxinbubblesletsmaketrouble · 13/10/2006 20:50

PS don't need a bar. Doesn't fold but you can shove it on its side against the wall when not in use.

Heathcliffscathy · 13/10/2006 23:16

london lilibet.

any good?

soapbox · 13/10/2006 23:22

God no! I go on the children's big trampoline now and again and my pelvic floor is so shot to bits that if I'm not very careful, I have ... ahem... leakage

I don't feel quite old enough yet to smell of stale piss

lilibet · 14/10/2006 11:29

I'm in the North West, but thatnsk anyway

I got the tesco one - foldable , it took dh and I tenty minutes to assembe it, so it's not going to be folded away ever time but I'be jsut done my first 10 minutes on it and it's fab

Can't beleive I'm that knackered after 10 minutes
