Mothercare Urban Detour Twin Alpine - wheels - help??
nappybrain · 18/04/2004 19:32
Just purchased the above. Had problem with one of the rear pneumatic wheels as soon as we got it home in that it kept deflating. Have just got a replacement wheel from Mothercare and exactly the same thing is happening. Has anyone else had a problem like this with this three wheeler?
Thanks.

hi i had single one of these, the pump they give you with the pushchair is c**p. i found the wheels deflated really quikly prob cos could never get them full enough of air. bought a compresser pump from argos which was great(but be carefull not to over inflate!). btw pushchair is still going strong 3 yrs later!!

I've got two single Urban Detours and never had any problem with the wheels deflating (apart from a little bit of air over umpteen months, which is to be expected), also didn't have any problem with the pump supplied with the buggy. Definately contact Mothercare, sounds like something is wrong with it. They are great pushchairs though, very good value for money.

thanks everyone - have come to the conclusion that the replacement wheel also has a puncture after having stuck it in a bowl of water
Can't believe they have sent us a faulty replacement and we had a three week wait for it to come in. Will ring customer care this morning.....although i think we will also invest in a better pump.
thanks again.

Nappybrain ours is coming up to 2 1/2 years use and we haven't had any probs. Not that we use it much now. The only time I had a puncture was because I ran over a thorn. Used to let DH do any tyre pumping, not that it was needed much.
Mothercare customer services isn't so great though, from personal experience.
