Cheap Dress for party, to buy on internet ??????????

I need to buy a dress £30-£40 is it possible?
I don't want too short or too strappy, more "funky" i hate that word with all my heart, but its the only one i can think of.

P.S. Sykes if you read this, i know you will be tempted to pick up on the word cheap and start calling me a slapper ..... but try to refrain it is neither big nor clever, and to be honest extremely tiresome

I'd prefer bossy kate, i just would be terrible if i went out, i never try clothes on anyway and just look for too long, i am in Manchester so i know i should go.
Ebay confuses me i can't see the pictures.

There is a site called LittleBlackDress.co.uk. I think they have a sale on at the moment. I have never used them but have heard them mentioned on tv and they seem to have a good reputation. Sorry, I don't know of anyone else really.

sorry, fairyfly, my idea won't work for you then. instead i suggest looking for items by ghost on ebay - you might get something in your price range if you don't mind second hand.

You could try Laura Ashley (who have some things in the sale), Boden or Next (possibly not what you'd call funky though!).

ff, what about catalogues? Before you sneer, I gather some of them are much improved and you can alway send it back if it's horrible. (I know I'd never get around to it though so it's not for me). So what's it for? Come on, tell us!

Did you find one? I have loads of dresses from my party days (only just found the thread) I was thinking only the other day of putting some on eBay. I am a 12/14 and am 34/36 chest 30 waist and 34/36 hips. If you think you're about the same size you can guarentee most things in my wardrobe will fit...
