Games for 2 year olds, help please

I have a 2 1/4 year old dd who has been unwell and so we're into books, jigsaws and games at the moment. I'm sick to death of picture bingo and I think she's learnt where all the pictures are off by heart now; does anyone have any recommendations on other games for 2 year olds? Also where to get them, websites preferably as I'm struggling to get out at the moment.

Thanks.

ELC do a nice pairs game, and ASDA do nice cheap ones, such as rhyming card games - carrott & parrott etc. Not a great deal of choice for this age range though is there?

Hope your dd gets well soon.

These people have a lot of games and puzzles suitable for younger children. Or try here or here . My personal favourite game for this age group is Tummyache which is pretty much idiotproof, ie. no counting or dice or any fancy stuff. Older children like it too.

Hope this helps!

I second the Tummyache recommendation, all the Orchard Toys ones are good. They have a website here , which is definitely worth a browse. The Shopping (List? Trolley?) game is good, too.

Snap? I was thinking with ordinary cards, matching the numbers, if she knows them well enough, but if not you can get picture snaps (we used to have Thomas the Tank). There's an Orchard tToys one on frogs's first link.

This is good fun - Ravensburgers Snail's Pace Race - we've had it for years, nobody plays it now but I'm keeping it because it's so nicely made!

Ravensburger On-Line Shop .

They make nice memory games and other card games too.

Elc do a pop-up dragon game which ds (2.4) likes playing- putting flags into castle till dragons jumps out. Only £5.

Orchard Toys Spotty Dog Game Ref: BG0017
Learn to count with these spotty dogs. Spin the spinner, match the number with the dog's spots and then see how many biscuit bones are in the basket.

THANKYOU EVERYONE!!!

Have ordered Tummyache, the pig snap game and Spotty Dog, can't wait for them to come.

Will look at ELC when my credit card recovers...

ELC also do a fish game. You have to get the fish on the end of a rod with a tiny magnet.

All the pressies dd had for Christmas, this still gets played with!! (she's 3)

ELC have a postbox game where you match envelope, letters and stamps to see who finishes first.

What about picture dominoes? DD has a set from M&S with the Winnie the Pooh characters on which is nice and sturdy.
