child escaping from car seat straps

Hi can anyone help me, my youngest keeps taking his arms out of his car seat straps, no matter how tight they are done up, I'm sure there used to be something sold that held the straps together, preventing this, but now I need it I can't find it anywhere, has anyone else had this problem, and if so what was the solution, short of a straight jacket.

covenoveneer · 07/10/2006 11:01

Ah I forsee a problem then as I to have the britax (was going to attempt to fit it this afternoon).

misdee · 07/10/2006 11:04

i got a snugsit this week on ebay. £5.99 dd3 hasnt escaped since i put it on.

KellyKrueger1978 · 07/10/2006 11:05

my dt1 ripped the snugsit to shreds. It was useless.

misdee · 07/10/2006 11:06

here

dd3 wasnt impressed and had a howling fit when she realised she couldnt escape.

lanismum · 07/10/2006 11:07

i had to buy one of those clips, but i cant get the bugger on, iv taken to sitting in the back seat with dd to make sure she stays in the straps

lanismum · 07/10/2006 11:08

ahhh the snugsit tooks loads better than the clip......maybe ill try that one.

DarkAlleyBongo · 07/10/2006 11:19

good plan

rah425 · 07/10/2006 22:34

Thanks guys, the snugsit was the one i'd seen a while ago. didn't know it was still available as not in recent catalogue. Had mixed feedback about the Jojo clip, hard to fit on some carseats and pops undone easily, been told its better for pushchairs as straps thinner, we've also got a britax eclipse, so interesting to hear your feedback. definately have got to get something soon, will try snugsit . thanks again
