So are those character scooters any good or a bit rubbish?

Hello

DD1 is 3 next week and wants a scooter so we are off to get one today but not sure whether to go for a sensible toddler micro scooter or get her the Fifi \Dora plastic frenzy. Are the plastic jobs actually any good for toddlers or just a naff marketing thing? Would it be infinitely more sensible to go for the plain old micro option?

Thanks in advance

they are fine, just usually a bit more expensive than your bog standard ones!

I'd get your dd the fifi/dora one.

Ah brilliant, as long as they do the job. Thanks

My DS1 had a Tweenies plastic scooter. He used it until around the age of 5, when he outgrew Tweenies & got a micro scooter. It is still going strong & is now used by DS2!

The charactur scooters often have 3 wheels rather than 2, so are easier for young children to use.
My DS2 is 3.5 & loves the Tweenies one!

Sorry, dodgy spelling error there! Was distracted by two very noisy boys!!

dd has the Princess one - 3 chunky wheels and you can riase the handlebar height.
