parking assist feature

We pick up a c max tomorrow and it has the parking assist feature where the wheel turns you into a space whilst you control the accelerator. Do you use one? DH not keen to, doesn't trust it. Thoughts?

Never tried a car with it. Test it out using appropriately spaced (empty) cardboard boxes.

My step dad has it on his car,,he loves it and hasn't failed him yet.

I don't know whether I would use this feature, I like to be in control of my car! I have cruise control on my car, I used it once for about a minute then turned it off. I didn't like it at all!

My car has parking sensors on the rear that I find quite useful, but they are just the type that warn you if you are getting close to an obstacle.

I'd be worried that if I had to drive a car that didn't have it, I'd have lost the ability to park properly

Can you not override it like cruise control ?
