Ds got a Kodak Easyshare a few years ago- they're pretty easy to use, and about the same price as the ELC ones and would give better quality pics I would think. Like this .

samsumg digimax - about £50 - 70. comes in three colours silver/ red / black. very easy to hold and use dd got it for 4th birthday and was easily able to take pictures with it. she got the hang of using the lcd screen really easily. only downside is like many cameras now there is no view finder but tbh probably not such a bad thing for younger children as it is easier to compose with the lcd. good pictures, and unlike the childrens digital cameras we looked at it has a big lcd. , possibly becaue of how often children might drop them. but by seven they will (hopefully be more careful than a four year old) dds was dropped quite a few times and the display did not work. there are also some in tesco that were as low as £40 last year.

My BIL and SIL bought their DD the cheapest one from Argos for her birthday last year.
AFAIK it's been fine

magicfarawaytree · 05/10/2006 21:19
