A bike.

Got a bike and scooter already. Can't ride the bike yet though. Remote control dalek is a good idea. Do you think Playmobil is too baby-ish now? Haven't yet succumbed to any electronic toys like Game boy yet - should I?

playmobil def not too babyish - DS had the castle when he was 5, is nearly 7 now and it still gets played with.

Ds1 will get a new bike as he needs a bigger one and ds2 needs his!
Anything Power Rangers / any super hero would do for him as well.

that gameboy was invented by a mum-loving sanity saver. Fantastic for long car journeys, boring wait at doctors, rainy days, even sitting in a shopping trolley not moaning about going shopping. It is absolutely ds's favourite toy, never gets bored of it, cos just change game, we can even borrow the games from the library. It is the best thing I have ever bought my kids I think. Had it for 2 years now and I still kiss it in gratitude!

My ds was into Bionicles when he was 5, or any sort of lego really. He has boxes full and still goes back to them in phases and he is 8 now.
