Playstation Games from the US

Hi All,

A friend of mine just returned from a holiday in the US and bought a few PS1 games that don't work at all over here.

Is there a different version of the games in the States? Is there anything she can to do convert them?

I know US videos won't work here and DVDs have region settings, maybe PS games are the same as DVDs. You can have a PS "chipped" to play US games I think but how or where I don't know!

Yes, dp had his chipped. BTW, if you have a region 1 (or region other than UK) dvd (i.e a film) you can play it on a playstation if you buy some software called DVD Region Free.
