Time for a new blender - but which one

My faithful 15 yr old blender is giving up the ghost- the motor is burning out and will probably catch fire if I use it again

So I'm really out of touch - any recommendations for a new one (I have a hand blender, just want something for bigger jobs)

I have a bamix( you can get them in Lakeland). They are not cheap, I think about £80 but are fabulous. Got mine about 5yrs ago after recommendation from my mum who has had the same one for years and not a hint of trouble. The are really powerful and do all sorts of amazing things like crush ice etc etc. I am not great at doing the whole sales pitch on them but they are good so worth a look into them.
