DS1 has a great pair from tescos like this but I stupidy bought only one pair and am desperate for at least one more pair. Must be:
aged 3-4
adjustable waist
teflon/minimal iron

anywhere else doing similar (have tried asda/woolworths/adams)

Marks & Spencer do them £7 per pair. If they don't have them in they will order them for you, code in the schoolwear catalogue is T764620A

Typical! I gave 3 pairs of the Tesco ones to the charity shop last week. They still looked like new but I didn't know anyone to pass them on to .

Have you tried BHS? I've had some nice school stuff from there for my dd in the past (and she's really skinny if that's the reason you are looking for adjustable waists).

mysonsmummy · 02/10/2006 00:29

they are still in my local tescos - asda do really cheap ones as well. and they came up better in a performance test.

mysonsmummy · 02/10/2006 00:30

sorry missed the bit that you said you've tried these places.

thanks everyone.
can't find 3-4 anywhere
am popping into town this week so i may invest in some m&s ones....
prefer to get cheap ones as he wont be in 3-4 for very long but 4-5 swamp him right now....
they will pass down to ds2 though. however, ds2 will be 4.5 when he starts school rather than just turned 4 like ds1 and he is already looking to be taller than ds1 was/is....

hmmm

asda..although not adjustable

DS1 had the M&S ones last year. They lasted all year and I was very happy with the way they washed. Have bought him the same ones in the nxt size this year.
Unfortunately he started in a Age 5, so they wouldn't be any good to you.

adevilknownasheavenis · 02/10/2006 13:10

I've got 2 pairs of grey M & S ones age 4 if they are any good. One pair never worn other pair worn for half an hour. Ds2 couldn't pull them up they were a little tight on him.

Had this problem too but eventually found ds some at Sainsbo's (age 3)
Next have some in there catalogue which are available (when they're not out of stock!) all year round. You could check out their website as a last resort

I've just checked the trousers they aren't adjustable waist your still welcome to have them. Or if anyone else can make use of them.
Adams do adjustable waist trousers if you order on line it's free postage if you spend over £25.
